Formula One World Driving Championship:
Last Race: Sunday May 22nd: The Spanish Grand Prix, Catalunya Barcelona: Very hot and very windy! Despite being blow off track early by a gust of wind, Holland’s Max Verstappen’s 4th win of the season, 3rd in a row means he has snatched the driver’s points lead away from Charles LeClerc, but he needed help. Team orders put Verstappen into 2nd place around Sergio Perez, then leader Charles LeClerc’s engine shuts off, serving up the lead and win to the Red Bull pilot for a 1-2 with Checo. George Russell 3rd to complete the podium. Mercedes team mate Lewis Hamilton suffered a flat after Kevin Magnussen hip-checked him early, but Hamilton recovered for 5th and in the points for the slightly better Merc.
The Canadians: Lance Stroll: 15th. Nick Latifi: 16th.
Points into Monaco on the 29th: Verstappen takes the driver’s lead by 6 over LeClerc. Constructors: Red Bull tops Ferrari by 26.

Indianapolis 500 Qualifying: On the pole: 41 year old New Zealander Scott Dixon, 5th Indy 500 pole, 2nd in a row! 234.046 MPH! Second fastest pole in 500 history! Fastest front row in 500 history! Middle of row 1: Ganassi team mate Alex Palou: 233.5 and outside the front row: Rinus Veekay: 233.3 mph. Other former winners:Pagenaud inside row 6. Rossi Middle of row 7. 4-time winner Helio Castroneves outside row 9. Juan Montoya outside row 10. 7X NASCAR Cup champion Jimmie Johnson starts outside row 4.
The Canadians: Devin DeFrancesco will start outside row 8, out qualifying Castroneves! Dalton Kellett starts from the middle of row 10.

Last Race: 2022 Season opener: April 1st and 2nd: The Rallye Perce Neige, Maniwaki Quebec: The 56th edition: Jérome Mailloux and Philippe Poirier drove their Test Racing Subaru to victory by just over 6 minutes over Olivier Martel and Vincent Hubert in their Subaru WRX STi. Reigning champions, André and René Leblanc got caught in the ruts on the last stage and stuffed it into a snowbank: 5th in the final order.

Last Rally: May 22nd: Rally Portugal: Kalle Rovanpera has extended his points lead with his 3rd-straight win. This one by 15 seconds over team mate Elfyn Evans. Rovenpara leads Thierry Neuville by 29 in WRC points.
