It was Reddick’s 2nd win of the season, the 5th of his career. Denny Hamlin placed 2nd with Erik Jones rounding out the podium in 3rd. Last week’s winner Kyle Larson wound up 4th with defending Cup Series champ Joey Logano rounding out the top 5.

NTT IndyCar Series: (idle)
Last Race: 2023 Season Finale at Laguna Seca, California on Sunday September 10th:
In a word: messy... and at times, embarrassing, with winless guys in the back doing dumb things, perhaps in frustration! Lots of contact, lots of spins, and lots of un-safe track re-entries all over the place causing far too many yellows. Recovering from Lap 1 contact and a penalty, "The Iceman" Ganassi Racing’s Scott Dixon notches his 3rd win over his last 4 starts! Scott McLaughlin finished 2nd, with 2023 champ Alex Palou 3rd! Canada’s Devlin DeFrancesco fell to 21st with gearbox problems in his final drive for Andretti Global.
Alex Palou clinched his 2nd series championship the race previous at Portland. It marks the 15th IndyCar title for Chip Ganassi.
Final IndyCar Points: Alex Palou finished with 78 more points than team mate Scott Dixon. Canada’s Devlin DeFrancesco wrapped up in 22nd.

Formula One World Driving Championship:
Last Race: The Italian Grand Prix at Monza, Sunday September 3rd:
On one of F1’s grand ol’ circuits, Max Verstappen cruised to a record-breaking 10th straight win, taking the lead from homeland hero and pole-sitter Carlos Sainz on lap 15. It was easy sailing for Max after that, as teammate Sergio Perez worked his way up to 2nd for another Red Bull 1-2, keeping the team’s undefeated streak alive! Sainz made the Tifosi happy, securing a spot on the podium in 3rd. Bad one for Mercedes! Russell and Hamilton 5th and 6th, both serving 5-second penalties for passing Esteban Ocon off-track and a collision with Oscar Piastri late in the race respectively. Lewis and George both signed 2-year contract extensions with Mercedes earlier in the weekend. Canada’s Lance Stroll started at the back of the pack at Monza, finishing 16th and out of the points.
Standings: Max Verstappen leads teammate Sergio Perez by 145 in the Driver’s Championship. Red Bull’s strangle-hold on the Constructor’s title grows to 310 over 2nd place Mercedes.
Next Race: The Grand Prix of Singapore on Sunday September 17th. Last year’s winner: Sergio Perez.

Nothing is stopping Canada’s Kyle Marcelli and ‘mate Dan Formal in their Wayne Taylor Racing entry! The duo taking their 8th win in a row in the IMSA Lamborghini Super Trofeo North America Series at VIR. They could run the table and sweep the season!
