Wayne Rooney joined a very exclusive club on Monday. How exclusive? He is only the second member.
Rooney scored his 200th Premier League goal in Everton’s 1-1 draw with Manchester City on Monday, becoming the second player to reach the feat since Alan Shearer.
Shearer, a Newcastle United legend, congratulated Rooney for his tremendous accomplishment at halftime on Monday.

Rooney scored 15 goals for Everton in his first stint with the club as a teenager. He joined Manchester United in 2004 and bagged 183 goals, en route to becoming the club’s all-time leading scorer in all competitions.
The England international is currently 60 goals behind Shearer. At 31, Rooney has time to catch up, but he will have to act fast.
