Alphonso Davies has only been in Germany for a couple of days, but he’s already turning heads at Bayern Munich.

After starting in the Canadian men’s national team 1-0 win over Saint Kitts and Nevis on Sunday, Davies headed to Munich to train with his new team leading up to the holidays.
Even though he’s literally the new kid on the block, Davies apparently acclimatized to the squad very quickly. According to German publication Bild, the Canadian international has a locker next to Arjen Robben, who has seemingly taken the youngster under his wing.

Davies was immediately introduced to the team, and wasted little time mingling with his new teammates.

Upon arriving in Munich, Davies attended a basketball game between Bayern Munich and Olympiacos. He also took part in a friendly tussle of one-on-one against teammate Serge Gnabry.
Unfortunately for Davies, he has to wait another couple of months for his competitive debut. Bayern sporting director Hasan Salihamidzic confirmed that he will be eligible for official competition on Jan. 4. The first match after the winter break, however, will be on Jan. 18 against Hoffenheim.
