Toronto FC forward Theo Corbeanu is getting another shot with Canada's national team.
Corbeanu and Minnesota United FC's Marcus Caldeira have joined Canada's squad ahead of Tuesday's friendly against the United States as replacements for Cyle Larin and Tajon Buchanan, Canada Soccer announced Monday.
Larin experienced back irritation ahead of Canada's friendly against Peru on Saturday, while Buchanan suffered a lower-body injury on a tackle during the match.
Larin has returned to Southampton FC while Buchanan has gone back to Villarreal CF for further evaluation.
Corbeanu, a 24-year-old native of Burlington, Ont, has scored two goals in seven career appearances for Canada. His most recent appearance was in 2022 in a friendly against Uruguay.
Corbeanu has two goals in 14 games for TFC this season, his second with the MLS club.
Caldeira, meanwhile, has been called up to the national team for the first time.
