With the Canadian men's national team still seeking its first World Cup goal, manager John Herdman has opted to start the team's all-time leading scorer.
Cyle Larin, who has 25 goals for Les Rouges, will rejoin Canada's starting 11 on Sunday in place of Junior Hoilett. It's the only change from Wednesday's tournament opener against Belgium.
Larin replaced Hoilett as a substitution in the 58th minute against Belgium.
Herdman made what many considered some bold lineup selections in Canada's first game, notably pulling Sam Adekugbe, who'd become a fixture in qualifying, and playing Richie Laryea.
The decision worked out, since Laryea gave Belgian defenders loads of trouble with his runs down the right side, and Herdman has decided to start Laryea once again on Sunday — only this time he'll move over to the left side of the pitch.
Canadian superstar Alphonso Davies will then move further up the field.
Meanwhile, Canadian captain Atiba Hutchinson will be making his 100th appearance for the men's national team with the start.
On the other side of the pitch, here's how Croatia will line up:
Canada lost its opening match 1-0 to Belgium, and needs a win or draw against Croatia in order to keep its hopes of advancing alive.
