MILAN — Netherlands midfielder Tijjani Reijnders said he jumped at the chance to join AC Milan after completing a transfer from AZ Alkmaar on Wednesday.
Milan has reportedly paid a fee of 20 million euros ($22.4 million) for Reijnders, who has signed a five-year deal at the Serie A club.
Milan also recently signed Christian Pulisic and Ruben Loftus-Cheek from Chelsea.
"I'm very excited, very happy to be here,'' Reijnders said. "Also very proud to be part of this big club. When my agent told me `AC Milan is interested in you,' I was very excited, very happy and I was like `Wow, such a big club is interested in me.'
"So the choice for me was very easy, I didn't have to think twice about this decision.''
The 24-year-old Reijnders received his first senior international call-up in May, for the Netherlands' Nations League Final Four campaign, but has yet to make his debut.
