Paris Saint-Germain's Kylian Mbappé wants to leave his club, just five months after signing a new three-year deal, according to a report by ESPN.
The story says the France international "feels at odds with the club's direction on and off the pitch," and is pushing for a jump to Spanish giants Real Madrid.
There are many issues cited in the report, such as who the 23-year-old plays alongside, a failure to recruit a new centre-back and his relationship with Brazilian superstar Neymar listed among them.
"I am trying to reassure him by finding different options," PSG manager Christophe Galtier said on Monday, in acknowledgement of the issues. "I don't know what the club told him before I arrived in the summer, but we are very sensitive as to how he feels and what he says because he is a very important player for the team."
