Toronto FC are set to announce the signing of Italian fullback Domenico Criscito according to soccer insider Fabrizio Romano.

Romano further reported that an agreement had broken down back in March for the veteran. With Criscito's contract expiring on June 24, TFC has the opportunity to acquire the 35-year-old on a free transfer.

A former Italian international, Criscito has 26 caps for the Azzurri and was the starting left back in the 2010 FIFA World Cup.

Criscito has spent the past five with Serie A club Genoa where he bagged 17 goals in 104 appearances. The native of Cercola, just outside of Naples, also plied his trade for Juventus and Zenit St. Petersburg.
