Barcelona draws Lechia Gdansk in friendly

GDANSK, Poland — FC Barcelona with Lionel Messi and debuting Neymar surprisingly drew 2-2 with Lechia Gdansk of Poland’s premier league in a friendly match Tuesday.

Poland’s Jaroslaw Bieniuk opened the scoring in the 16th minute, then Roberto Sergi made it even 10 minutes later with a goal for Barcelona.

Messi failed to give Barca a first half lead from a free kick in the 46th minute. Piotr Grzelczyk put Poland ahead again in the 50th, but the score was 2-2 after a lob by Messi in the 57th.

Neymar entered the game at the 79th minute, but Barcelona wasn’t able to get another score.
