MUNICH — Bayern Munich forward Thomas Mueller has been ruled out for about three weeks with a torn muscle in his right thigh.

Bayern says Mueller was injured during the team’s 1-0 win at Hamburger SV in the Bundesliga on Saturday.

Mueller came on as a second-half substitute and was injured as he played the ball to Corentin Tolisso for Bayern’s 52nd-minute winning goal, going off shortly afterward.

The 28-year-old Mueller will miss Bayern’s German Cup and league games against Leipzig, the Champions League trip to Celtic, and the key Bundesliga game at Borussia Dortmund on Nov. 4.
