AUXERRE, France — Striker Melissa Tancredi sat out Canada’s game against France on Saturday with an ankle injury but is expected to be healthy for the Olympics.

The 34-year-old from Ancaster, Ont., was hurt in a collision with China’s goalkeeper in Canada’s 1-0 win Wednesday in Paris. Tancredi was unable to finish the game.

The Canadian women, ranked 10th in the world, played No. 3 France in both teams’ final warmup for the Rio Olympics. Canada opens Aug. 3 against No. 5 Australia.

Tancredi has 25 goals in 119 appearances for Canada.
