Cristiano Ronaldo won the UEFA Best Player in Europe award, beating out Real Madrid teammate Gareth Bale and Atletico Madrid’s Antoine Griezmann.

Ronaldo is coming off a successful campaign, winning both the Champions League and Euro 2016, Portugal’s first-ever major trophy. The 31-year-old scored 51 goals in 48 appearances in all competitions last season, including 16 in Europe.

The former Ballon d’Or winner also struck three times in seven appearances for Portugal at the Euros.
