Hamburger SV has re-signed veteran Croatian striker Ivica Olic from Wolfsburg, five and a half years after he first left for Bayern Munich.

Hamburg says the 35-year-old Olic passed a medical on Friday before signing a deal until 2016. Once his playing days are over, he has the option of working with Hamburg’s youth sides.

Media reports suggest Hamburg is paying Wolfsburg 1.5 million euros ($1.7 million) for the striker who has played 100 games for Croatia.
