DORTMUND, Germany — Borussia Dortmund says Germany forward Marco Reus will be out of action until January after suffering another ankle injury.

The club said Sunday that Reus is expected to resume training at the beginning of January, meaning he won’t play again before the Bundesliga’s winter break.

Reus was stretchered off with a right ankle injury after an aggressive challenge from former Dortmund player Marvin Bakalorz during his club’s 2-2 draw on Saturday at promoted Paderborn.

Reus missed this year’s World Cup — won by Germany — because of a left ankle injury. He was briefly sidelined recently with an injured left ankle.
