EDMONTON — Faustine Robert scored twice, including once on a penalty kick, to lead France over Paraguay 3-0 in Group D action at the FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup on Wednesday.
Mylaine Tarrieu also scored for France (3-0-0), which remains undefeated through pool play.
Paraguay (1-0-2) was outshot 18-3 with shots on target, and 26-5 in total.

TORONTO — Steph Skilton got things started with a goal in the 24th minute, and New Zealand cruised to victory over Costa Rica.
Tayla O’Brien, in the fourth minute of injury time, and Megan Lee also scored for New Zealand (2-0-1).
Costa Rica (0-0-3) committed 16 fouls to New Zealand’s 10, and had four shots on target compared to its opponent’s seven.

NIGERIA 2 ENGLAND 1
EDMONTON — Asisat Oshoala’s goal on a penalty kick in the 59th minute broke a 1-1 draw and Nigeria held on for a victory over a winless England squad in Group C play.
Loveth Ayila scored for Nigeria (2-1-0) to tie the game in the 41st minute.
Nikita Parris opened the scoring in the fifth minute for England (0-2-1).

SOUTH KOREA 2 MEXICO 1
TORONTO — Lee Sodam scored on a penalty kick in the 65th minute as South Korea earned it’s first victory of the tournament by edging Mexico in Group C action.
Lee Geummin opened the scoring with a goal for South Korea (1-1-1) at the 43-minute mark.
Tanya Samarzich added Mexico’s (0-2-1) lone goal in the 74th minute.
