They’re the world No. 1 for a reason.

Argentina cemented their place in history, winning a second-straight Copa America and a third-straight major international tournament, completing a Triple Crown and etching an indisputable dynasty in world football.

It was a dominant run at the tournament for La Albiceleste, finishing with a perfect 6-0 record and only a single goal conceded in that span. They were down for a total of zero seconds at the tournament.

There was a span for the past two decades that Argentina was always the bridesmaid, not the bride, finishing as the runner-up in four of five Copa Americas between 2004 and 2016. But their legacy, and in particular Lionel Messi’s, was cemented with this second win.

Their 16th victory as a country, they now sit alone atop Copa America, breaking a tie with Uruguay.

Argentinian fans and football fans as a whole celebrated and handed some deserved praise to the best team of the 2020s and the best player of all time. Here are some of the best reactions.
