Hibs still unbeaten after win at Rangers

GLASGOW, Scotland (AP) — Hibernian went top of the Scottish Premier League on Saturday with a 1-0 win at Rangers.

Hibernian scored with a header from David Murphy in the 61st minute for the win, which came two weeks after the Edinburgh-based side defeated the other Old Firm team, Celtic, 3-2 on Sept. 23.

Hibs is the only undefeated team in the Scottish Premier League and has 21 points, followed by Celtic and Rangers with 19. Celtic plays at Gretna on Sunday.

The match came four days after Rangers won 3-0 at French club Lyon in the Champions League for its second consecutive win in Europe.

Also Saturday, Darren Dods scored in the 78th minute in Dundee United’s 1-0 win over Motherwell; Hearts beat Falkirk 4-2 with goals from Audrius Ksanavicius, Marius Zaliukas, Andrius Velicka and Christian Nade; and Inverness Caledonian Thistle twice rallied to salvage a 2-2 draw at Kilmarnock.

On Sunday, Aberdeen hosts St. Mirren.
