INGOLSTADT, Germany — Ingolstadt says it has signed Paraguay striker Dario Lezcano in the hope of boosting the Bundesliga’s worst attack.

Lezcano arrives from Swiss side Lucerne and received a contract through June 2020. He scored 11 goals in 14 matches for Lucerne. Financial details of the deal were not given.

Promoted Ingolstadt has managed only 11 goals in 17 matches in the first half of the Bundesliga season, which resumes Jan. 22. But despite the poor scoring record, Ingolstadt sits 11th, five points clear of the relegation zone.
