TURIN, Italy — Juventus has acquired Serbia winger Milos Krasic in a 15-million Euros (C$20 million) transfer from CSKA Moscow, boosting its off-season spending beyond 50 million Euros (C$67 million).
The Serie A power said Saturday that it had signed Krasic to a four-year contract.
Juventus is hoping Krasic can follow in the footsteps of former midfielder Pavel Nedved, who retired a year ago.
Juventus has spent 52.8 million Euros (C$70 million) on seven new players during the current transfer window — more than any other club in Italy and third in Europe behind Manchester City’s 121 million Euros (C$161 million) and Real Madrid’s 80 million Euros (C$107 million).
Juventus is also reportedly negotiating a loan deal with Liverpool for midfielder Alberto Aquilani.
