The Cristiano Ronaldo effect is certainly strong.
According to the Italian press (via Italian Football TV), Juventus has sold 520,000 Ronaldo jerseys on the first day of its official release.
To put that into context, Juve sold about 850,000 jerseys in the entire calendar year of 2016.

Each authentic shirt sells for €104 (CAD $159), while a replica is about €45 (CAD $69). At minimum, that generated $35.88 million in sales, assuming all 520,000 jerseys sold were replicas. It could be as high as $82.68 million, when only taking authentic shirts into account.
Ronaldo will be officially unveiled by the club on Monday, as he completes a €105 million transfer from Real Madrid.
