Manchester City has officially signed full-back Kyle Walker from Tottenham on a five-year deal, the club announced on Friday.
The transfer fee is reported to be at least £50 million ($82.9 million CAD) which would make Walker the most expensive defender of all-time.
Walker amassed 183 appearances in the Premier League for Spurs after making his debut with the club in 2009. The 27-year-old solidified himself as one of the top right-backs in England over the past couple of seasons under Mauricio Pochettino.
The defender is Man City’s third signing of the summer after midfielder Bernardo Silva and goalkeeper Ederson.
