Manchester United defender Nemanja Vidic says he wants to remain with the Premier League champion until his contract expires at the end of next season.
British newspapers have reported that Vidic wants to leave and United manager Sir Alex Ferguson is frustrated at the Serbia international’s refusal to play since the onset of a nerve problem in his leg two months ago.
But Vidic told Serbian newspaper Vecernje Novosti that “United has made me the player I am today and there is no substance whatsoever in rumours that I have been looking for a move away to either Real Madrid or AC Milan.”
Vidic has not played since Dec. 30 and missed this week’s 3-2 Champions League win at Milan.
