BERLIN — Eintracht Frankfurt captain Alexander Meier scored in injury time to complete a hat trick and earn his side a 3-2 win over Wolfsburg in the Bundesliga on Sunday.
Dante shot the visitors into a deserved 25th-minute lead, after Ricardo Rodriguez sent on Andre Schuerrle’s free kick to the far post.
Frankfurt fans whistled their side off at halftime, and coach Armin Veh responded by bringing on Mexico midfielder Marco Fabian for his Bundesliga debut.

"Fabian is a really good kicker who helped us straight away," Veh said.
Meier equalized with a great finish in the 66th after Stefan Aigner laid the ball back. Wolfsburg complained about a disputed foul by Fabian beforehand.
Goalkeeper Diego Benaglio was helpless to stop Meier from claiming his second seven minutes later, again set up by Aigner.
Schuerrle thought he’d salvaged a draw when he scored in the 79th.
But there was still time for Frankfurt defender and Japan captain Makoto Hasebe to clear off the line in the 90th minute, before Meier struck the winner three minutes later.
"We fought our way back into the game. In such situations only calm and no panic helps," Meier said. "The morale was always good."
"We didn’t play well in the first half and could have been further behind. It was much better in the second half," Veh said. "Even if the win was very fortunate, we showed we are a team."
Werder Bremen captain Clemens Fritz inspired his side to a 3-1 comeback win at Schalke in the late game, giving the relegation-threatened side a huge boost and denying Schalke the chance to go fourth.
Joel Matip headed Schalke into a fourth-minute lead, but the home side missed a host of chances before Fritz turned one way, then another and equalized in the 43rd.
Fritz then crossed for veteran Peru striker Claudio Pizarro to score his 179th Bundesliga goal in the 54th, and the Bremen captain crossed for Anthony Ujah to seal it in the 89th.
