BARCELONA, Spain — Lionel Messi looks set to return to the Barcelona lineup after taking part in a full training session on Tuesday.

The 26-year-old Messi picked up a thigh strain in Barcelona’s 2-0 victory over Almeria on Sept. 28 and has been sidelined since. Messi also missed Argentina’s 3-1 World Cup qualifying victory over Peru and will be absent from Tuesday’s game at Uruguay.

Messi could return to the lineup for the Spanish league co-leaders on Saturday at Osasuna, ahead of next Tuesday’s Champions League match at AC Milan.

Messi has scored eight goals in six league appearances, and scored a hat trick against Ajax in the Champions League.
