Here’s what you need to know ahead of this weekend.

MARQUEE MATCH

Chelsea vs. Liverpool: It’s a battle of first versus second on Saturday, as league leaders Liverpool travel to Stamford Bridge to take on Chelsea, who are tied with Manchester City for second.

Both teams are unbeaten, with the Reds boasting a perfect 6-0 record. Chelsea won its first five games of the campaign before being held to a 0-0 draw with West Ham United last week.

Liverpool is chasing history, looking to win its first seven games of a top-flight campaign for only the second time in club history, after doing so in 1990-91.

Liverpool’s Trent Alexander-Arnold and Georginio Wijnaldum are available for Saturday after dealing with illness issues earlier in the week, but defender Virgil van Dijk is doubtful with a rib injury.

PLAYER TO WATCH

Aleksandar Mitrovic, Fulham: No player has scored more Premier League goals (five) this season Mitrovic, tied with Chelsea’s Eden Hazard. Since his debut for Fulham in February, Mitrovic has scored 17 goals, more than any other player in the top four tiers of English league soccer.

WEST HAM UNITED vs. MANCHESTER UNITED

Should Manchester United’s Romelu Lukaku find the back of the net on Saturday, he’ll become only the fourth player to score in his side’s first four road matches in a Premier League season, joining Thierry Henry, Daniel Sturridge, and Sergio Aguero.

ARSENAL vs. WATFORD

Alexandre Lacazette has scored in each of his last four home starts in the Premier League. The last player to score in five consecutive home starts for Arsenal was Robin van Persie in 2011-12.

HUDDERSFIELD TOWN vs. TOTTENHAM

Huddersfield Town is scoreless in its last five home Premier League fixtures, the longest such run since Southampton’s run of six home games ended in August 2017.

MANCHESTER CITY vs. BRIGHTON & HOVE ALBION

Aguero has been directly involved in 17 goals in his last 10 Premier League home games, scoring 14 goals and tallying three assists.

NEWCASTLE UNITED vs. LEICESTER CITY

Leicester’s James Maddison is attempting to score in three consecutive league fixtures for the first time in his career.

WOLVES vs. SOUTHAMPTON

Only Liverpool, Manchester City and Chelsea have registered more shots on goal than Wolves’ 89 in the Premier League this season.

CARDIFF CITY vs. BURNLEY

Cardiff is winless in seven fixtures in all competitions this season. It has not failed to win any of its first eight games in a campaign since 1964-65.

BOURNEMOUTH vs. CRYSTAL PALACE

Palace forward Wilfried Zaha has scored in all three of his team’s road league fixtures this season.

HE SAID IT

“If this was happening under [Alex Ferguson], he’d have said one thing: ‘He’s going. Get rid of him now.’ Because there’s no chance he’d allow his team to become a joke because of Paul Pogba’s behaviour.” – Former Manchester United midfielder Paul Ince on the brewing controversy between Pogba and Jose Mourinho.
