Paul Bravo, the Rapids’ technical director said in a statement Monday the Rapids "have decided to remodel our defence this season and, to achieve that, have signed important players across the backline and in goal. In the circumstances, both sides decided to part ways. But we would like to wish Zat all the best for the future."
Knight, 34, played seven seasons with Fulham, two with Aston Villa and five with Bolton Wanderers. He made two appearances for the England national team in 2005.
