BARCELONA, Spain — David Moyes was sent off late in Real Sociedad’s 2-2 draw with Villarreal on Wednesday as his side made its exit from the Copa del Rey’s last 16.
The former Manchester United manager climbed over a barrier to take a seat in the stands, where he accepted and ate a potato chip offered by a little girl while his team failed to beat Villarreal for the third time since his arrival in November.

Villarreal advanced 3-2 on aggregate to the quarterfinals, where it will face Getafe next after its 1-0 win at Almeria sealed a 2-1 win over the two legs.
Athletic Bilbao stumbled on after losing 2-0 at home to Celta Vigo, progressing on away goals, 4-4 on aggregate, amid boos from its own fans.
Sevilla plays Granada later.
