BERLIN — Schalke has signed Spanish right back Coke on a three-year deal from Europa League winner Sevilla.

The Bundesliga side says the 29-year-old Coke, whose full name is Jorge Andujar Moreno, will wear the No. 23 shirt.

Schalke sporting director Christian Heidel says, "We’ve won a very good defensive player with a lot of international experience in Coke. To win the Europa League three times in a row is more than a remarkable achievement."

Coke captained the side and scored twice as Sevilla came from behind to defeat Liverpool 3-1 in the Europa League final in May.

The Madrid-born player began his career with Rayo Vallecano, achieving promotion to the second division in 2008, then La Liga in 2011, when he moved to Sevilla.
