LONDON — Tottenham striker Jermain Defoe will be out for at least a month after injuring his foot in training ahead of Saturday’s match at Bolton.
The England international, who has scored three goals in five matches since rejoining Spurs earlier this month from Portsmouth, has a suspected broken foot.
The injury could sharpen manager Harry Redknapp’s search for another striker before the transfer window closes Monday.
Darren Bent, Roman Pavlyuchenko and Fraizer Campbell are the Premier League strugglers’ only fit strikers, but Bent faces an uncertain future at White Hart Lane.
