LONDON — Stoke defender Robert Huth has become the latest player to be charged by the English Football Association over social media posts.
Huth’s Twitter account earlier this month responded to tweets of sexual images which asked users to guess their gender.
The German has until next Wednesday to respond to the FA misconduct charge, which alleges the messages were “indecent and/or improper” because they “included a reference to gender and/or gender reassignment.”
Queens Park Rangers defender Rio Ferdinand and Liverpool striker Mario Balotelli have been banned this season by the FA for social media posts.
