NORWICH, England — Sweden striker Johan Elmander has sealed a return to the Premier League by signing a season-long loan deal with Norwich.

The 32-year-old Elmander played for Bolton from 2008-11 before moving to Turkish team Galatasaray.

Norwich manager Chris Hughton said Wednesday that "I’m really delighted to bring in a player of Johan’s experience, not only at club and Premier League level but as a current international."

Elmander, who has scored 19 goals in 71 matches for Sweden, will challenge fellow new signings Ricky van Wolfswinkel and Gary Hooper for a place in the first team and is Norwich’s eighth summer addition.
