TFC’s Nick Hagglund exits game vs. Timbers with knee sprain

Toronto FC defender Nick Hagglund left Saturday’s game in the 18th minute against the Portland Timbers after spraining his knee. He was replaced by Jason Hernandez.

Hagglund grabbed his leg in pain after attempting a tackle in the first half. The 24-year-old suffered a left knee injury in May and was making just his second start since returning to full fitness.

The defender has made 15 appearances, 13 of them starts, in 2017 for TFC.
