Toronto FC has loaned midfielder Ryan Telfer to York 9 FC of the Canadian Premier League for the 2019 season.
The MLS side also sent midfielder Aidan Daniels, Toronto FC 2 defender Robert Boskovic, and forward Shaan Hundal to Ottawa Fury FC of the United Soccer League.
The 25-year-old Telfer made 19 appearances in all competitions with one goal and two assists for Toronto FC last season. He spent the 2017 season with Toronto FC 2, making 38 appearances with one goal and one assist.
Daniels, 20, made his MLS debut last April against the Houston Dynamo in a game where the club rested most of its starters for an upcoming CONCACAF Champions League game. He has appeared in 65 matches for Toronto FC 2 with three goals and two assists.
Boskovic, 20, has appeared 55 times for Toronto FC 2 with one goal. The 19-year-old Hundal, has made 73 appearances, with 15 goals and three assists, for TFC 2.
"This is a great opportunity for some of our younger players to train, play games and develop in a different environment," Toronto FC GM Ali Curtis said in a statement. "We plan to loan two additional players to Ottawa. We’ll monitor progress throughout the year and regularly communicate with Ottawa’s staff."
Both Daniels and Telfer were on Toronto FC’s 29-man senior roster — as is Dutch defender Gregory van der Wiel, who the club is trying to move after a training camp bust-up with coach Greg Vanney.
The loan moves remove both Daniels and Telfer from TFC’s roster and salary cap while away.
