Twitter reaction: Gerrard says goodbye to Anfield

Liverpool captain Steven Gerrard has played his final competitive match at Anfield on Saturday after debuting for the club in 1998. He’ll now join the LA Galaxy this summer after more than 700 appearances in all competitions with the Reds.

The Anfield fans gave him a heartwarming farewell, but the Twitter universe also paid their respects for Gerrard.
