Heading into the second leg of their Champions League semifinal, it was hard to imagine Barcelona losing its 3-0 aggregate lead at Anfield on Tuesday.
The visiting club seemed extra confident considering it had the advantage of being the away team and could take a stranglehold with an away goal.
We score, Liverpool need FIVE – and we're going to get at least one… agreed?

But Liverpool had other plans, staging a remarkable 4-0 result to advance to their second straight Champions League final.
Star striker Mo Salah might not have been in uniform today for the Reds, but his choice of attire seemed to have foreshadowed what was to come.

The victory certainly had a lot of Liverpool supporters on cloud nine including Golden State Warriors head coach Steve Kerr.
An impressive part of the comeback was that Liverpool did it without Salah or Roberto Firmino. Divock Origi played a big part scoring the go-ahead goal with a stunning play where Barcelona failed to get set up on a corner kick.
For Lionel Messi, this was a disappointing result after scoring a remarkable free-kick a week earlier. Fans made sure to have fun at another quick exit for the Argentinian star.

Lakers superstar LeBron James, a minority owner with Liverpool, was clearly fired by the end result.

José Mourinho gave Liverpool a lot of credit for pulling off the comeback, especially manager Jurgen Klopp who he used to coach against in the Premier League.
The epic win also led to some great Game of Thrones and Drake references.
