Whitecaps release defender Justin Fiddes, midfielder Deybi Flores

VANCOUVER – The Vancouver Whitecaps released defender Justin Fiddes and midfielder Deybi Flores on Monday.

Fiddes was released after spending a loan stint with the Whitecaps’ United Soccer League affiliate Fresno FC.

The rookie fullback was selected by Whitecaps FC with the 17th overall selection in the 2018 MLS SuperDraft.

Flores’ loan to Honduran Liga Nacional side FC Motagua has expired and is now out of contract.

Flores made 12 starts and 16 first-team appearances for Vancouver since originally arriving in Vancouver on loan in February 2015.
