Vancouver Whitecaps and Canadian midfielder Russell Teibert joined Sportsnet 650 to talk about his journey to the MLS and the team’s tough loss to the Seattle Sounders on Saturday.
Teibert’s been with the Whitecaps organization for 10 years, but says he still wants to prove himself and keep getting better. He says the biggest breakthrough in his career was realizing that professional soccer is a marathon, not a sprint.
Teibert also talks about the crop of young attacking talent on the Canadian national team.
