So what does Luis van Gaal do now?

The Dutch manager brought on backup goalkeeper Tim Krul in the final minute of extra time and the Newcastle United man saved two penalties in a 4-3 shootout victory over Costa Rica on Saturday to send the Netherlands through to the World Cup semifinals.

After Jasper Cillessen played 90 minutes of regulation and 30 minutes of extra time, van Gaal turned to Krul who saved penalties from Costa Rica captain Bryan Ruiz and Michael Umana after the match finished 0-0.
