MILAN, Italy — AC Milan defender Mario Yepes needs surgery on his right ankle and will likely be out for 10 weeks.
Yepes was injured and substituted just after the hour mark in Sunday’s 2-2 draw with Bologna. Milan’s other centre backs include Alessandro Nesta, Thiago Silva and Philippe Mexes.
Milan is third in the Serie A standings, two points behind Juventus and Udinese.
