TORONTO — The top 40 men and 32 of the top 35 women will compete at the upcoming Rogers Cup tennis tournaments in Montreal and Toronto.

Tennis Canada released the official player acceptance lists Wednesday.

World No. 1 Novak Djokovic and top-5 stars Andy Murray, Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal highlight the men’s roster at the Montreal tournament that goes from Aug. 2-11 at Uniprix Stadium.

World No. 15 Milos Raonic of Thornhill, Ont., and Wimbledon semifinalists Juan Martin del Potro and Jerzy Janowicz will also compete in Montreal.

"Montreal is excited to be hosting such an extraordinary field of men again at Uniprix Stadium," said tournament director Eugene Lapierre in a statement. "Our tournament has a history of attracting the best of the best and this year is no different with every single player in the Top 40 committed to play our event. Our fans are in store for a remarkable week of exciting tennis combined with an electric atmosphere and several special ceremonies and presentations."

The women’s tournament at Rexall Centre in Toronto features nine of the top-10 players on the WTA tour, including No. 1 Serena Williams, No. 3 Maria Sharapova and No. 4 Agnieszka Radwanska.

Rising star Eugenie Bouchard of Montreal has been given a wild-card berth.

The women’s tournament goes from Aug. 3-11.

"The three things we are highlighting in Toronto this year are athletes, intimacy and innovation," tournament director said Karl Hale. "This fantastic player field takes care of the athlete portion as we will welcome the absolute best female tennis stars in the world."
