It’s time for the TGL finale.
The best-of-three championship series to determine this year's winner of the SoFi Cup will feature Los Angeles Golf Club against the Tiger Woods-led Jupiter Links GC.
Los Angeles has been a powerhouse for two seasons and now looks to lift the SoFi Cup trophy after an impressive defeat of the defending champs, Atlanta Drive GC, in the first semifinal. Meanwhile, Jupiter didn’t even make the playoffs in Season 1 of TGL and is keen for a championship kind of effort from its scrappy squad.
The first match takes place on Monday at 9 p.m. ET / 6 p.m. PT, while the second will be played on Tuesday at 7 p.m / 4 p.m. PT. If necessary, the third match will immediately follow. All coverage is available on Sportsnet and Sportsnet+.
Here’s everything you need to know with the SoFi Cup on the line:
The championship lineups
Match 1
Jupiter Links GC: Max Homa, Tom Kim, Kevin Kisner (sitting: Tiger Woods, Akshay Bhatia)
Los Angeles Golf Club: Justin Rose, Tommy Fleetwood, Sahith Theegala (sitting: Collin Morikawa)
Updates, lineups and order of play for Match 2 (and if necessary, Match 3) will be distributed following Match 1 on Monday.
Notes
• Jupiter did not make the playoffs in Season 1, while Los Angeles got bounced from the playoffs after a semifinal loss.
• Los Angeles defeated Jupiter Links 8-4 in their regular-season tilt. It was Los Angeles’ first win of the season.
• In 2025, Los Angeles defeated Jupiter 12-1, the largest margin of victory in TGL history.
• Jupiter will not have Tiger Woods in the lineup (although he will once again act as a pseudo coach) nor Akshay Bhatia. Bhatia has been a star for Jupiter in an alternate capacity this season, but he is playing the Hero Indian Open on the DP World Tour and is unavailable.
• Jupiter had an impressive turnaround from its Season 1 struggles, leading TGL in singles points won and singles holes won. It was No. 2 in both short-putt efficiency and greens in regulation. Jupiter also led the league in hammers thrown and points won from hammers.
• Los Angeles will be without Morikawa once again after he withdrew from The Players Championship early in his first round due to a back injury.
• The lineup it is using, however, won the semifinal against Atlanta and includes two of the top five golfers in the Official World Golf Ranking (Fleetwood at No. 3 and Rose at No. 5).
• Los Angeles has won four matches in a row heading into the championship finale, leaning heavily on its effort in triples. It is No. 2 in TGL in holes won in triples and points won in triples.
Semifinals recap
Los Angeles, which finished No. 2 in the regular season, defeated Atlanta 6-4 in the first semi.
Jupiter defeated Boston Common Golf 9-5 in the second semi, knocking out the top seed in impressive fashion.
Both Los Angeles and Jupiter are looking for their first SoFi Cup victory.
Format
Within a match there will be two sessions played in two different formats
• Triples – nine holes – three players per team competing in an alternate-shot format.
• Singles – six holes – one-on-one, head-to-head competition for the entire hole. Each player from each team plays a total of two full holes during the session.
• Overtime – if the match is tied after 15 holes, the teams will play a best-of-three, closest-to-the-pin competition to decide the winner, with the hole location and orientation of the green remaining unchanged from the final/15th hole of the match.
• The shot distance in OT will be between 25-50 yards and decided pre-match by the match official. All players will play from the same spot. The ball must finish on the putting surface to be eligible.
