The second season of TGL continues Monday with some big names teeing off at the SoFi Center — and the return of one of the most electric players from the opening campaign.
Min Woo Lee, who was nicknamed 'Dr. Chipinski' last season — more on that later — will make his season debut alongside Shane Lowry and Wyndham Clark for The Bay Golf Club while Rory McIlroy returns to action for Boston Common Golf alongside the same lineup from its season opener.
Michael Thorbjornsen is filling in once again this week, and McIlroy and Keegan Bradley are hoping he can recreate his magic from his first match, where Thorbjornsen was far and away the match’s MVP.
Here’s everything else you need to know.
The match
Boston Common Golf: Rory McIlroy, Keegan Bradley, Michael Thorbjornsen (sitting: Adam Scott, Hideki Matsuyama)
The Bay Golf Club: Shane Lowry, Min Woo Lee, Wyndham Clark (sitting: Ludvig Aberg)
Notes
• Min Woo Lee makes his season debut for The Bay Golf Club, in for Ludvig Aberg, who withdrew from The American Express last week due to illness.
• Lee led TGL with two (electric) chip-ins from off the green last season, holing out from longer than 22 feet on both occasions.
• The Bay lost its season opener 7-4 to Atlanta Drive GC after Atlanta took four points in singles.
• Boston Common earned its first-ever TGL win on Jan. 2 after it defeated Los Angeles Golf Club 7-5 in its season opener.
• Michael Thorbjornsen (who was playing as an alternate) was clutch in the season’s first match, making four putts of longer than 10 feet. The young star-in-waiting returns to the Boston Common lineup for the second match in a row.
• Putting was the key to Boston Common’s season-opening victory, as it made six total putts longer than 10 feet, the most by any time in a single match in TGL.
• Boston is gunning to start the season 2-0. Each of the teams that started the first season of TGL 2-0 made the playoffs.
• McIlroy returns to North America after a pair of DP World Tour events in Dubai, where he finished T3 and T33, respectively.
• In singles, McIlroy will face off against European Ryder Cup teammate Shane Lowry — who also happens to be his best friend.
• The Bay defeated Boston Common 5-4 in the first season matchup in an absolute thriller.

Broadcast details
Match begins: 7 p.m. ET / 4 p.m. PT on Sportsnet and Sportsnet+.
All matches will be broadcast exclusively in Canada on Sportsnet and Sportsnet+.

How it works
Format
• Within a match, there will be two sessions played in two different formats.
• Triples – 9 holes – Three players per team competing in an alternate-shot format.
• Singles– 6 holes– One-on-one, head-to-head competition for the entire hole. Each player from each team plays a total of two full holes during the session.
• Overtime – If the match is tied after 15 holes, the teams will play a best-of-three, closest-to-the-pin competition to decide the winner. This will be similar to penalty kicks in soccer.
• The hole location and orientation of the green will remain unchanged from the final/15th hole of the match.
• The shot distance will be between 25-50 yards and decided pre-match by our match official. All players will play from the same spot. The ball must finish on the putting surface to be eligible.
Standings
• For each match, teams can be awarded up to two points towards their regular-season total based on the following:
• Win in regulation = 2 points
• Win in overtime = 2 points
• Loss in overtime = 1 point
• Loss in regulation = 0 points
