UFC has announced several new matchups for its upcoming Fight Night event in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
Most notably, the promotion announced Saturday that Israel Adesanya and Shara Magomedov will serve as the main event of the night in a middleweight bout on Dec. 5.
The 37-year-old Adesanya is riding a four-fight losing streak, with his most recent defeat coming by way of TKO against Joe Pyfer at a UFC Fight Night event in March.
It will mark his first fight since leaving his longtime head coach, Eugene Bareman, and the City Kickboxing Gym (CKB) in New Zealand.
Adesanya owns a 13-6 record in UFC action. He claimed the middleweight belt in 2021, and then defended his title six times before losing to Alex Pereira at UFC 281, but won it back in a rematch shortly after.
Sean Strickland, however, took the belt from Adesanya once again at UFC 293.
He will now look to get back on track against Megomedov, who has a 6-1 UFC record and is riding a two-fight win streak after beating Marc-Andre Barriault and Michel Pereira.
The UFC also announced Saturday that Yaroslav Amosov will face former title challenger Ian Machado Garry in the co-main event of the night in a five-round welterweight bout.
It also added a fight between Serghei Spivac and Mario Pinto to the card.
