Anthony Hernandez and Gregory Rodrigues are set to meet in a UFC Fight Night headliner later this summer.
The middleweight contenders will meet in a five-round main event on Aug. 22 at the Golden 1 Center in Sacramento.
The organization confirmed the matchup on social media and during Saturday’s broadcast for UFC Fight Night: Fiziev vs. Torres.
California’s Hernandez, 32, had an eight-fight winning streak snapped earlier this year by Sean Strickland, who has since regained the middleweight title to become a two-time champ in the 185-pound division.
Brazil’s Rodigues, 34, will be looking for his fourth consecutive victory. He is coming off a first-round knockout of Brunno Ferreira that avenged a previous loss.
This will be the seventh UFC event held in the city and the first since 2019.
No other bouts have been announced, but more matchups are expected in the coming weeks.
