A Canadian will have a shot at a UFC belt later this summer.
Gillian Robertson, from Niagara Falls, Ont., will clash with Brazil's Mackenzie Dern for the strawweight title at UFC 330. The event will take place in Philadelphia on Aug. 15.
Robertson, 31, is on a four-fight win streak dating back to 2024 and most recently defeated Amanda Lemos on a Fight Night card in March. Dern captured the strawweight title at UFC 321 last October and will be making her first defence of the belt.
Robertson-Dern is the co-headliner on the card below a welterweight title fight between Islam Makhachev and Ian Machado Garry.
Robertson won't be the only Canadian featured in a prominent fight on the card.
Jasmine Jasudavicius from St. Catharines, Ont., will battle American Erin Blanchfield in a flyweight matchup.
