Canada's Jasmine Jasudavicius has booked her first fight of the new year as she looks to build on a spotless 2024.
The St. Catharines, Ont., native is set to take on Brazil's Mayra Bueno Silva at a Fight Night event in Saudi Arabia on Feb. 1, 2025, the UFC announced Monday.
Jasudavicius (12-3) made a name for herself on the women's flyweight rankings in 2024, winning three straight against Priscila Cachoeira, Fatima Kline and Ariane da Silva. The wins against Cachoeira and da Silva both came via submission and earned her Performance of the Night bonuses.
The 35-year-old now sits 13th on the flyweight ladder.
Bueno Silva (10-4-1), meanwhile, will move down from the 135-pound bantamweight division to the 125-pound flyweight class to take on Jasudavicius.
The 33-year-old is the eighth-ranked fighter in bantamweight, however, is coming off two straight losses to Macy Chiasson and Raquel Pennington, the latter of which was the first title shot of Bueno Silva's career at UFC 297.
The UFC debuted in Saudi Arabia earlier in 2024. Robert Whittaker beat Ikram Aliskerov in the main event at Riyadh’s Kingdom Arena in June.
