Yet another Canadian has been added to the upcoming Edmonton Fight Night.
Canada's Kyle Nelson will take on Mexico's Cristian Perez on Oct. 17 on the Fight Night: Buckley vs. Malott card at Rogers Place in Edmonton, the UFC announced Tuesday.
Nelson, from Huntsville, Ont., comes in sporting a 17-7-1 pro MMA record and a 12-1 record in the UFC after signing in 2018. He last fought in March when he was knocked out by Terrance McKinney in 24 seconds.
With Nelson's addition, 13 fighters representing Canada will now fight on the Edmonton card — the most in UFC history. It's also just the second time in UFC history that a fighter representing Canada will be featured in every bout.
This will be the fourth time Edmonton has hosted a UFC event.
The Edmonton event will also be the second Canadian card in 2026, following a Fight Night in Winnipeg in April.
