Fans in Seattle will be treated to an intense lightweight showdown at the end of March when Kyle Nelson returns to the cage.
The Canadian is set to face notorious finisher Terrance McKinney, of the United States, at a UFC Fight Night event on March 28 at Climate Pledge Arena, the organization announced Wednesday.
Ontario’s Nelson, 34, is 4-1 in his past five UFC appearances and is coming off an October win over Matt Frevola.
McKinney, 31, is looking to bounce back from a December submission loss to Chris Duncan. McKinney has never gone the distance and only four of his 25 pro bouts have made it out of the first round.
The UFC Seattle card is scheduled to be headlined by former middleweight champion Israel Adesanya facing rising knockout artist Joe Pyfer, plus former women’s flyweight champion Alexa Grasso meets streaking contender Maycee Barber in the co-main event.
