Canadians TJ Laramie and KB Bhullar were officially added to a May 1 UFC Fight Night event, the organization announced this week, as both fighters look to rebound from disappointing losses in their respective UFC debuts.

Laramie is slated to face fellow featherweight Damon Jackson and Bhullar will take on Andreas Michailidis in a middleweight bout.

Laramie (12-4) earned a UFC contract by winning on Dana White’s Contender Series last August but the Windsor, Ont., native was submitted by Darrick Minner in just 52 seconds in September.

Jackson (18-4-1, one no-contest) is a former LFA champion at 145 pounds who submitted Mirsad Bektic in his promotional debut on the same card Laramie fell to Minner. Jackson is coming off a first-round knockout loss to Ilia Topuria in December.

Bhullar (8-1) suffered his first loss in MMA after getting TKO’d quickly by England’s Tom Breese this past October, while Michailidis (12-4) also failed to make it to the second round in his July UFC debut. Michailidis lost to Modestas Bukauskas in the 205-pound division but will be moving down to the 185-pound weight class for this bout.

The event is currently scheduled to be headlined by light-heavyweight contenders Dominick Reyes and Jiri Prochazka. A location for the event has yet to be determined.
